Protecting your privacy is important to Canadian Club Toronto (“CCT”).

In doing so, this privacy policy may change from time to time.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

I. The personal information that CCT collects and how it is used:

a. Membership: CCT collects your name, title, company name, address, home telephone number,business telephone number, home fax number, business fax number, email address, and credit card number and expiration date when you join to become a member of CCT. CCT will retain the information to inform you about events presented by CCT, advise you as to when your membership is up for renewal, and provide you with notices related to CCT. CCT will remove your name from the membership database upon your request to do so. If you would like to access or update your membership information or change your subscription request, please contact info@canadianclub.org

b. Ticket Orders: CCT collects your name, company name, address, business telephone number,email address, and credit card number and expiration date when you purchase tickets for CCT events. CCT will retain the credit card information until the payment is processed, unless CCT is otherwise requested to keep the information on file.

STATISTICAL AND MARKET RESEARCH

CCT collects non personal information related to the use of the CCT website for statistical and marketing purposes; for example, the number of visitors to the CCT website.

General Requests for Information by email, phone, or mail: CCT collects the personal information you provide to CCT (such as your name, email address, telephone number and/or fax number), and will use such information only for the purposes of responding to your correspondence or requests. For example, if you want information about an upcoming event, you can call CCT for information on the event; CCT will ask for your name and email, so that it can email you the information, and will discard your name and email after sending you the information.

To the extent that you provide personal information about another person, you represent and warrant that you have received the consent of that person to disclose the personal information to CCT for the purposes stated in this privacy policy.

COOKIES

Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related web pages. Use of cookies on this website is limited to maintaining session state for online ordering and other applications which require identification of session state. CCT does not store your cookie information after your session.

THIRD PARTIES

CCT does not disclose or sell to third parties personal information that it has collected unless you specifically instruct CCT to do so. CCT will transfer your personal information to third party processors in order to, for example, send you information related to CCT that you have requested or process your credit card payment.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

CCT protects your personal information with security safeguards commensurate with the sensitivity level of the information. Personal information captured via forms on the CCT website is encrypted using SSL before transmission to the server. This data may be stored in a secured database and can be retrieved by authorized users only. Employees are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with it for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that personal information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purposes described above. CCT takes measures to ensure that the integrity of personal information is maintained and retained only as long as it is required. CCT collects, uses and discloses personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate considering the circumstances. CCT does not rent or sell personal information to any other organization.
