Building for the Future: Manufacturing Excellence in Ontario

 Pierre Beaudoin is President and CEO of Bombardier Inc., a global company that stands as the largest supplier of rail equipment, systems and services, and the third largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the world.  

Mr. Beaudoin studied business administration at Brébeuf College in Montréal and industrial relations at McGill University in Montréal before beginning his career as Canadian Customer Service Manager for BIC Sport Inc. He joined Bombardier’s Marine Products Division in 1985, was named Vice President of Product Development for Bombardier’s Sea-Doo/Ski-Doo Division in 1990, Executive Vice President of the same division in 1992, and President in 1994. In April 1996, Mr. Beaudoin was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Bombardier’s Recreational Products Group with operational responsibility for six product lines: marine products (Sea-Doo watercraft and sport boats), snowmobiles (the Ski-Doo product line), Bombardier ATVs, the Bombardier NV, utility vehicles, and Bombardier-Rotax engine facility located in Austria.

In February 2001, Mr. Beaudoin assumed duties as President of the Business Aircraft Division at Bombardier Aerospace. He was named President and COO of Bombardier Aerospace in October that same year, where he took over responsibility for all operations and product divisions of the Corporation’s aerospace business.

In December 2004, Mr. Beaudoin was appointed Executive Vice President of Bombardier Inc. in addition to his duties as President and COO of Bombardier Aerospace. With this appointment, he became a member of the Board of Directors for the Corporation, and joined Laurent Beaudoin, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, and André Navarri, President of Bombardier Transportation, as part of the newly created Office of the President.

Pierre Beaudoin was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Bombardier Inc. in June 2008.
