Join Canadian Club Toronto on September 18 for a conversation with Annesley Wallace, President & CEO of HOOPP, on the critical role HOOPP plays in securing the financial futures of its members. As HOOPP’s new leader, Annesley is charting an ambitious strategic plan to maximize the value of the Plan, strengthen the resilience of its investment portfolio, and adapt with the healthcare community to remain its pension plan of choice.

She will be joined by Karli Farrow, President & CEO of Trillium Health Partners and a member of HOOPP’s Board of Trustees. Karli has led innovative strategies to engage staff and community partners, and brings a deep understanding of healthcare leadership and governance to the discussion.

Annesley Wallace 

President & CEO, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)

Annesley Wallace became President & Chief Executive Officer of HOOPP on April 1, 2025.

Prior to joining HOOPP, Annesley was Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Corporate Development and President, Power and Energy Solutions at TC Energy. In her role, Annesley was responsible for leading and executing the development of TC Energy’s corporate strategy, corporate development activities and capital allocation process, as well as for all aspects of the Company’s power generation and unregulated natural gas storage businesses.

Before joining TC Energy in May 2023, Annesley served as Executive Vice-President and Global Head of Infrastructure at OMERS, overseeing a global team and portfolio of approximately C$34 billion in assets across sectors including energy, digital, transportation and government-regulated services. As Chief Pension Officer at OMERS, she led initiatives that enhanced member engagement, digital services, and the overall member experience for over 500,000 plan members. Previously, Annesley also spent time at SNC-Lavalin, focused on engineering, procurement, project controls and project management for their energy, infrastructure and power businesses.

Annesley holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Engineering from Queen’s University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. Annesley is also a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and a former recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Karli Farrow

President & CEO, Trillium Health Partners

Karli Farrow was appointed the President and CEO at Trillium Health Partners (THP) in 2022.

Previously, she was the Executive Vice-President of Patient Care Services and Chief Operating Officer where she was accountable for clinical operations and the delivery of exceptional patient experiences. She also oversaw capital planning and redevelopment to ensure that all future planning at THP is closely linked to the delivery of patient care.

Karli joined THP in 2009 where she provided leadership to support the merger of Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre in 2011.

Prior to joining THP, Karli worked in health care consulting where she led projects focused on reducing wait times and improving chronic disease management. She has also served in senior advisory roles for the Ontario Government.

Karli serves on the Board of Trustees of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and the Board of Directors of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES).
