With a career spanning more than 25 years, Tracey Pearce is an accomplished, award-winning media executive whose experience covers many facets of the industry, including creative development, programming, digital, strategy, legal business affairs, and content distribution. Pearce oversees the subscription portfolio and revenue derived from the distribution of Bell Media’s television networks, video and audio on-demand content, cable, satellite, IPTV, mobile and digital platforms, and direct to consumer.

 

As part of her portfolio, Pearce is responsible for the overall performance of multi-million dollar portfolio on demand services Crave and Starz, including HBO Canada. An architect behind the all-new Crave, she helped drive its immediate 20% subscription increase when it relaunched in 2018. In addition, Pearce oversees Bell Media’s corporate strategy and digital teams.

 

In her previous role as Senior Vice-President, Specialty and Pay, Pearce oversaw all of Bell Media’s English-language entertainment and factual specialty channels, in addition to The Movie Network and HBO Canada. Pearce has been instrumental in strengthening Bell Media’s pay, SVOD, and specialty offerings, including launching Much Digital Studios; signing landmark program supply and branding agreements with SHOWTIME, HBO, and Comedy Central; the national expansion of The Movie Network/HBO; commissioning of top-rated original programming such as HIGHWAY THRU HELL, FRONTIER, and LETTERKENNY; and the acquisition and launch of Bell Media’s first lifestyle channel, Gusto.

In 2017, Pearce was one of 35 women from around the world accepted to the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Leadership Foundation Fellows Program where she participated in a customized leadership training that is behavioral, academic and technical, including executive education components at Harvard Business School and INSEAD. In 2016, Pearce was honoured with Women in Film & Television – Toronto’s Crystal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Business.

Pearce serves on the boards of Discovery Channel Canada as Chair, and as Director on CTV Specialty Television Inc. In addition, Pearce is Programming Chair and Director of Canadian Club Toronto; and serves as a member of the advisory boards of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, as well as York University’s Schulich School of Business MBA Program in Arts, Media & Entertainment Management and is a recipient of the 2020 Schulich Alumni Award for Outstanding Progress and Achievement.
