Blake Hutcheson
President, OMERS

Blake Hutcheson was appointed OMERS President in 2018.

Blake previously served as President and CEO of Oxford Properties Group since 2010, and in 2014 he also became Chief Investment Officer, Real Estate and Strategic Investments and added the OMERS Platform Investments portfolio, an integral part of the OMERS innovative agenda.

Prior to OMERS, Blake was the Head of Global Real Estate with Mount Kellett Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm with offices in key locations around the globe. Previously, he was President of the Canadian, Latin American, and Mexican operations for CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest real estate services company.

A former recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Blake is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He also completed a Graduate Diploma in International and Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development at Columbia University. (Where he received the Distinctive Alumni Award in 2017)

Jane Rowe
Executive Managing Director and Head, Ontario Teachers’ Equities Department, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Jane Rowe is Executive Managing Director and head of Ontario Teachers’ Equities department. Comprised of Private Capital and High Conviction Equities (HCE), the department’s mission is to deliver growth through investments in both private and publicly traded entities. Since joining Ontario Teachers’ in 2010, Ms. Rowe has helped grow the private equity portfolio from $10 billion to more than $32 billion.

Ms. Rowe sits on the Investments and Risk committees of the Plan and chairs the Investments Division Credit and Counterparty Committee. She serves on the boards of Cadillac Fairview, Ontario Teachers’ wholly-owned real estate subsidiary, Arterra Wines Canada and Camelot Group PLC, the operator of the U.K. National Lottery.

Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, she held senior roles at Scotiabank, Scotia Merchant Capital Corporation, the bank’s Canadian private equity fund, was President and CEO of RoyNat Capital Inc., Scotiabank’s wholly owned mid-market merchant bank, and was President and CEO of Scotia Mortgage Corporation. Ms. Rowe received a B.Comm (Honours) from Memorial University, her MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business, and ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is an Advisory Board Member of Memorial University’s School of Business, served on the Board of Governors at York University, and served on the Advisory Board and Board of Governors for the United Way of Toronto and York Region where she currently serves as a Trustee.

Kevin Uebelein
Chief Executive Officer, Alberta Investment Management Corporation

Kevin Uebelein joined the Alberta Investment Management Corporation as Chief Executive Officer in January 2015. AIMCo is responsible for managing approximately $120 billion of pension and endowment assets.

Prior to joining AIMCo, Kevin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Pyramis Global Advisors, the institutionally-focused asset management unit of Fidelity Investments, holding assets in excess of USD 200 billion, and was also the Global Head of Investment Solutions at Fidelity Investments. Previously, Kevin held a variety of positions with Prudential Financial Inc., including Head of Alternative Investments, and culminating as Chief Investment Officer for International operations.

Mr. Uebelein holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Harding University, and an MBA from Rice University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, and holds the ICD Director designation. Kevin is on the board of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (“CCGG”) and is the Chair of The AIMCo Foundation, which supports financial education.

Mark Wiseman
Canadian Investment Manager

Mark Wiseman is a Canadian investment manager and business executive and an industry-leading expert in alternatives and active equity investments. He was a Senior Managing Director at BlackRock, Global Head of Active Equities, Chairman of its alternatives business, and Chairman of BlackRock’s Global Investment Committee. He also served on BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2016, Mark was President & CEO of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a law degree and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Toronto. He was also a Fulbright Scholar at Yale University, where he obtained a Master of Laws. Mark is a regular lecturer at the Harvard Business School and the University of Toronto, and is an adjunct professor at Tsinghua University.
