Join Canadian Club Toronto for our second annual Power of Networking event at the LinkedIn Head Office. In advance of International Women’s Day our esteemed panelists, and Club directors, Anita McOuat (National Leader – Technology, Media & Telecom and Consumer Markets, PwC), Pamela Warren (Partner, Egon Zehnder), Tracey Pearce (President, Pay and Distribution, Bell Media) and Khadija Waseem (Community Building & Outreach, #MoveTheDial) will discuss how to be effective no matter the networking situation, the connection that advanced their career and engage in an audience Q&A.

Anita McOuat
National Leader, Technology, Media, Telecom & Consumer Markets, PwC

Anita is a partner in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where she leads engagements with clients in a variety of industries, including entertainment, digital media, technology and private equity. Based in Toronto, she has also spent time working with PwC in Boston and Shanghai.

In addition to the Canadian Club of Toronto, Anita serves on the board of the Ontario Media Development Corporation, where she sits on the Audit and Governance committees. She is also on the board of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, where she is the Treasurer and chair of the audit committee.

Anita holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University, and she is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant.


Tracey Pearce
President, Distribution and Pay, Bell Media

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Tracey Pearce is an accomplished, award-winning media executive whose experience covers many facets of the industry, including creative development, programming, legal and business affairs, and content distribution. Pearce currently leads the team that distributes, licenses, and markets all Bell Media conventional networks, specialty and pay channels, non-linear content, and TV Everywhere services to our BDU partners on traditional and digital platforms. She is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of CraveTV, high-profile pay TV multiplex The Movie Network which includes HBO Canada, and Discovery Networks in Canada.

In 2017, Pearce was one of 35 women from around the world accepted to the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Leadership Foundation Fellows Program where she participated in a customized leadership training that is behavioral, academic and technical, including executive education components at Harvard Business School and INSEAD. In 2016, Pearce was honoured with Women in Film & Television – Toronto’s Crystal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Business.

Pearce serves as a director on the boards of Discovery (Canada) and CTV Specialty Television Inc., while maintaining an executive role supporting Bell Media’s English-language factual specialty channels. She also is an avid supporter of Covenant House and regularly participates in the Sleep Out: Executive Edition to raise money and awareness for homeless youth.

Pamela Warren
Partner, Egon Zehnder

Pamela Warren is a Partner in Egon Zehnder’s Toronto office. She co-leads our Board, Consumer, and Health practice groups in Canada. She brings depth of experience in recruitment at the CEO, executive and board level, and in advising on CEO succession planning. She also is a regular speaker on best practices in governance.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Pamela worked for the Mead Johnson Nutritional Division of Bristol Myers Squibb in general management, business development, and marketing in Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Pamela completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and her MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona.

Khadija Waseem
Community Building & Outreach, #MoveTheDial

Khadija Waseem is a national youth advocate and a third year student at Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto. She is currently working on Community Building & Outreach at #MoveTheDial, a movement working to empower women in technology.

Khadija is a Daughter of the Vote with Equal Voice, a social not for profit organization empowering women in leadership, policy and politics. As a Daughter of the Vote she works to empower youth nationally with researched toolkits, and recommendations on national policies. She is a head research coordinator at the Rotman School of Management spearheading research used to write new and updated textbook materials.

Khadija is an at-risk youth counsellor, and founder of various youth social services programs across Toronto working to provide social supports to low-income and marginalized youth. She is a champion of many social justice causes, particularly the empowerment of minorities, at-risk/marginalized youth, and women.

She is formerly part of the Prime Ministers Office’s policy team, a youth delegate to the United Nations, a G(irls)20 future board member, and a 50 Canadian youth for Canada150 with Global Vision. With her unique hyphenated perspective Khadija has been profiled by the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and CBC for various youth issues.

 

Cindy Filiatrault

Large Enterprise Relationship Manager, LinkedIn

In her role as Large Enterprise Relationship Manager at LinkedIn, Cindy Filiatrault helps Fortune 500 and large public sector organizations leverage technology, process and insights to transform how they attract and develop their most valuable resource: talent. Cindy is also the Canadian co-chair of LinkedIn’s female employee resource group, Women @ LinkedIn. Women @ LinkedIn is LinkedIn’s oldest and largest resource group, with thousands of members striving together to create an inclusive community that empowers women to advance their careers while being their authentic selves.
