Senior Vice President, Content, Rogers Communications
Melani Griffith joined Rogers in 2016 and oversees the content strategy for the residential and wireless businesses. She manages content acquisition, packaging, and drives performance management across all content platforms. A 19-year veteran of the cable industry, Griffith has the unique experience of working across the spectrum of affiliate sales, content acquisition and advertising sales.
Prior to joining Rogers, she was EVP, Business Development and Board Member at Penthera Partners, Inc., chiefly responsible for driving the consumer revenue and product road map strategy. Before Penthera, Griffith spent seven years with Insight Communications, a US cable operator, as senior vice president of programming and video product management. At Insight she was responsible for negotiating all of the content deals for linear, video on demand and broadband as well as creating and executing on the video product strategy.
Prior to Insight, Griffith ran the eastern division for affiliate sales at AMC Networks and was an account executive in advertising sales for Fox Cable Networks.
Griffith was selected as one of 12 “Wonder Women” by WICT and Multichannel News; one of 10 “Leaders Under 35″ by Electronic Media and one of the “Top 50 to Watch” by Cable World. She recently served on the national board of directors of Women in Cable Telecommunications.
Griffith received her BA from UCLA and MBA from Columbia Business School.
