Drew Fagan

Senior Fellow (University of Toronto, Ryerson University, C.D. Howe Institute and Public Policy Forum

Drew Fagan was a deputy minister with the Government of Ontario for seven years, as DM responsible for the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and previously with the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Mr. Fagan joined the Ontario Public Service in 2009 from the Government of Canada, where he was Assistant Deputy Minister for strategic policy and planning at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Mr. Fagan joined the Canadian government in 2004 from The Globe and Mail, where he held many of the newspaper’s senior positions, including Parliamentary Bureau Chief, Editorial Page Editor and columnist, Foreign Editor, Associate Editor of Report on Business and Washington correspondent.

Mr. Fagan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario.
