Protecting your privacy is important to The Canadian Club of Toronto ("TCCT"). In doing so, this
privacy policy may change from time to time.
What personal information does TCCT collect and how is it used?
Membership: TCCT collects your name, title, company name, address, home telephone
number, business telephone number, home fax number, business fax number, email address, and credit
card number and expiration date when you join to become a member of TCCT. TCCT will retain the
information to inform you about events presented by TCCT, advise you as to when your membership is
up for renewal, and provide you with notices related to TCCT. TCCT will remove your name from the
membership database upon your request to do so. If you would like to access or update your
membership information or change your subscription request, please contact
info[at]canadianclub.org.
Ticket Orders: TCCT collects your name, company name, address, business telephone number,
business fax number, email address, and credit card number and expiration date when you purchase
tickets for TCCT events. TCCT will retain the credit card information until the payment is
processed, unless TCCT is otherwise requested to keep the information on file.
Statistical and Market Research: TCCT collects non personal information related to
the use of the TCCT website for statistical and marketing purposes; for example, the number of
visitors to the TCCT website.
General Requests for Information by email, phone, fax or mail: TCCT collects the personal
information you provide to TCCT (such as your name, email address, telephone number and/or fax
number), and will use such information only for the purposes of responding to your correspondence
or requests. For example, if you want information about an upcoming event, you can call TCCT for
information on the event; TCCT will ask for your name and fax number, so that it can fax you the
information, and will discard your name and fax number after faxing you the information.
To the extent that you provide personal information about another person, you represent and
warrant that you have received the consent of that person to disclose the personal information to
TCCT for the purposes stated in this privacy policy.
Does the TCCT website use cookies?
Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer
used to access a website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user's web browser
on the user's hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to
simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user or to use the information to
streamline the user's transactions on related web pages. Use of cookies on this website is limited
to maintaining session state for online ordering and other applications which require
identification of session state. TCCT does not store your cookie information after your
session.
Does TCCT disclose to third parties personal information that it has collected?
TCCT does not disclose or sell to third parties personal information that it has collected,
unless you specifically instruct TCCT to do so. TCCT will transfer your personal information to
third party processors in order to, for example, send you information related to TCCT that you have
requested or process your credit card payment.
How does TCCT protect personal information it receives from you?
TCCT protects your personal information with security safeguards commensurate with the
sensitivity level of the information. Personal information captured via forms on the TCCT website
is encrypted using SSL before transmission to the server. This data may be stored in a secured
database and can be retrieved by authorized users only.
