Ontario: Ready to Lead Again

Christine Elliott, MPP for Whitby-Oshawa and candidate for leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, will reflect on the months she has spent engaging with Ontarians from every region of this province and will outline her bold vision for the future of Ontario. Christine will offer her progressive conservative solutions to restore Ontario’s position as a leader in Canada.

Bio

Christine graduated from the University of Western Ontario with both a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Laws degree. Christine then forged a successful career in business and law, working first on the international audit team of one of Canada’s largest banks, and then co-founding a law firm with her late husband Jim Flaherty, where she specialized in real estate, corporate law, and estate law. As a sophisticated business leader, lawyer, and entrepreneur, Christine has worked tirelessly to help businesses in Whitby, Ottawa, and Toronto open, expand, and thrive.

Christine also used her business and legal prowess to pursue her commitment to public service, and her pro bono legal work for charitable organizations gained her the recognition as a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, the highest award with Rotary.

As a mother, lawyer, businesswoman, and entrepreneur, Christine knows the importance of balancing a family budget and managing a successful business. Christine knows that responsible leadership is needed to get Ontario back onto the right financial track.
